Bulky waste collections in the Borough of Boston is a paid for service but for a trial period of one month the council plan to scrap the fee to all residents in the plans to help tackle fly-tipping in the borough.
All households in the Borough of Boston are invited to book in a free bulky waste collection throughout the month of September for up to THREE household items. If you have more than three items then for this period we ask you to dispose of these at the Household Waste Recycling Centre, donate to your local charity shop or take part in our Upcycle Sunday event.
Please note we CANNOT collect:
- building materials
- hazardous waste
- medical waste
- garden waste items such as sheds, fences and grass and tree cuttings
- commercial items such as fridges/freezers
Please note that we are not insured to collect items from the inside of properties. For this reason we ask that all items for collection should be placed at the front of the property the night before or by 5.30am on the day of collection.
This service will for the trial period cover five days a week, Monday to Friday and will still be a bookable service by calling 01205 314200.
