Restaurants/cafes/pubs to hot food takeaways

 

New Legislation has been issued to permit Restaurants and cafes (Use Class A3), drinking establishments and drinking establishments with expanded food provision (Use Class A4) to temporarily provide takeaway food* for a temporary period until 23rd March 2021, without the need to apply for Planning Permission. There is a requirement to notify the Local Planning  Authority of a change of use of this nature;

*the “provision of takeaway food” includes any use for any purpose within Class A5 of the Schedule to the Use Classes Order, and any use for the provision of hot or cold food that has been prepared for consumers for collection or delivery to be consumed, reheated or cooked by consumers off the premises.”.
