A worn-out section of carriageway between Hessle Avenue and Sleaford Road is set to be replaced later this month.
Work on the £85,000 project is due to begin on Tuesday 27 August and is expected to be completed on Tuesday 3 September.
During that time, the road will be closed, with traffic diverted via Sleaford Road, Broadfield Lane and Peck Avenue.
Mark Heaton, programme manager – surfacing and patching, said: “This section of road is coming to the end of its life and it’s important we get it replaced.
“We’ve scheduled the work to take place during the school holidays when traffic is much lighter. That should help reduce the impact on the travelling public.
“The team will also be working both through the day and during the evening to get things wrapped up more quickly.
“That said, there is still likely to be some disruption and we ask motorists to be patient, leave additional time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible.”
